This is How I Grew

Hello! I am Kristin Inderwiesen Greene, the founder, owner and a teacher at TSG and a lifelong musician. Born and raised in Sarasota I was inspired by my parents and music teachers from elementary school through college. I chose to make music education my career. After earning a Bachelors of Music Education from Stetson University, I have enjoyed being a music educator for more than 20 years!

In 2014, when my first daughter was 10 months old, I was looking for my village and to find other parents and babies to meet up with each week. I ended up being asked to take over a baby music class! I enjoyed the next three years of seeing these sweet kids and grown ups grow during this weekly class. After that I went back to public school teaching and have held elementary music, band and orchestra director positions in Manatee and Sarasota Counties.

I am thrilled to use my talents and expertise at The Singing Garden (Classes and Private Lessons). We’re in the business of bringing families together, building a community of parents and caregivers, supporting mindfulness and growth through music, art and movement.  Join us!!

Our mission is to foster a love of learning and build mindfulness in your little ones, through the creative arts.

Childhood is about a third of ones lifespan. In the words of Fred Rogers, children should not be rushed through these important developing years.

At TSG, we believe in the power of early and quality musical experiences in order to positively develop the necessary neural pathways. These pathways are formed to increase learning in language acquisition and mathematics. Imaginative play and guided music, dance and art experiences are some of our signature services.

In addition, social-emotional development and parent-child bond benefits are priceless. Our classes and offerings are research-based and taught by trained music educators parallel to none.   Parents participate and learn right along with their child therefore can help to be an advocate for music education in their child’s future!

Plant the seeds of music, art and movement for a

healthy mind and body!
